As we edge into summer, we are working with an increasing number of new build and renovation clients who are keen to connect their living and outside spaces. You may have heard of the term ‘Biophilia’ which means ‘a love of nature’. In architecture, Biophilic design is the way in which we incorporate nature into our designs, contributing to the health and well-being of our clients.

Embrace The Outdoors

With eco-homes, we achieve a connection with nature through incorporating green roofs, plants, and even living walls into our designs,

However, this isn’t limited to eco architecture. Whether it’s a classical extension or contemporary self-build, there are so many innovative ways in which we can embrace the outdoors from within.

Natural Light

While each project is unique, there is always an emphasis on natural light, and clients often ask us to feature large windows and patio doors in our designs, resulting in a light filled home.

Case Study

Henry and Fiona asked us to bring more light into their family home, located just outside of Guildford in Surrey. We worked closely with them to create a design that opened up their living space and connected the kitchen/dining area with the beautifully landscaped garden. We used mirror materials inside and out to create a seamless feel.
